The course is perfect for anyone wanting to become a specialist in the feild of fitness.

Throughout it you’ll learn:

  • How the brain learns new movements

  • How our bodies work in multiple planes and with multiple joint actions

  • How efficient movement requires a combination of muscle strength, stabilization and co-ordination

  • How to identify faulty movement patterns and understand how they can, over time, cause injury and poor movement performance

  • Balance training and its importance in movement

  • Which pilates-based and multi-plane exercises help correct movement imbalances and effective ways to teach them

NeuroFitness Method

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This workshop is designed to introduce Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Personal Trainers or other Movement Specialist to the NeuroFitness Method as a tool for teaching all forms of exercises. The NeuroFitness Method utilizes our understanding on how the brain works to acquire new movement and illustrates how we can prepare the body to better adapt to unforeseen forces placed upon it during performance. It is a form of training that teaches the instructor to understand how the body works as a system. It also places heavy responsibility on the client to actively participate in the learning process, thereby enabling them to transfer their understanding of movement to other environments.

The concept of creating stability throughout the body by improving mobility will be explored. The roll of fascia, poor posture, motor control, stress and pain will be examined in regards to how they can restrict movement. Participants will learn to identify faulty or inefficient movement patterns and understand how Slow Movement Eccentric training, as well as, the use of Balance Training can effectively enhance motor learning and improved performance. The use of tools such as the Four Pillars, Sequential Training, regression/progression, as well as, identifying individual tolerance and effective loading will be presented to assist instructors in teaching complex multi-plane exercises.

When teaching movement training, the emphasis will be on creating Stability, Endurance and Motor Control as well as, how to efficiently use the correct sequence of muscle activation to safely achieve the task and minimize the risk of injury.

Participants will experience training with multiple tools such as, Pilates Reformer, Chair, Trapeze, Rip: 60, BOSU, Incline Trainer, Cable Based Machines, Vibration, Oov, Surfset and Fitwall, in order to understand how the method offers the opportunity to integrate the wide variety of equipment available for functional movement training

The Courses We Offer Are

Private accelerated learning is available for out of state students or those desiring individual training.

Rip60

Participants will be able to explain and understand that training rip:60TM allows the user to get a full body workout simply by using, but not limited to, one piece of equipment. Every individual regardless of their age or fitness level can participate in rip:60TM training. The intensity can quickly be increased or lessened by simply moving your feet and changing your body angle. The fitness professional will learn that rip:60TM training demands integrated muscular strength to perform every movement, thus preparing the user to move more efficiently in the world.

Rip:60TM unique programming yields greater strength and flexibility. Endurance and stability increase drastically. The fitness professional will learn how to constantly challenge the user and help them to see incredible gains in health and fitness. the Fitness professional will know and understand the importance of suspended rotation. With suspended rotation, your body is forced to stabilize and balance throughout your workout. The user will engage more muscles and constantly target their core with every move. The instability created by the suspended rotation engages the nervous system and teaches the muscles in your body to synchronize, leading to more strength, power and results. Rotation is the key to power.

The Fitness professional will be able to successfully build rip:60TM programs for their clients with the knowledge they will gain about sequencing, training variables, progressions, optimization zone, and the rip:60TM exercise library.
